The Sustainability Organization at UWB is proud to present Sabrina Combs, Joy Johnston, and Janet Gear from the city of Bothell who will be giving a presentation on “22 Easy Ways To Be More Sustainable”. This presentations is based on a program developed by the Mercer Island Green Ribbon Commission to promote easy steps we can all take to live well without having a big impact. After the presentation the Sustainability Organization and guest speakers will have a tabling event featuring specific ways to be more sustainable with green giveaways.

Darryl Nevels is a senior working towards a degree in Environmental Science (Restoration Conservation Ecology). He recently returned from a month long seminar to Ecuador where he had the opportunity to conduct scientific research and explore the ecological diversity the country had to offer. He is the President of the Sustainability Organization at UW Bothell and Cascadia Community College.

Janet Geer, Surface Water Program Coordinator for the City of Bothell-Public Works

Janet Geer, Surface Water Program Coordinator for the City of Bothell, is an Alumni of the UW-Bothell campus.  She works to protect our local and regional water quality by encouraging local residents, businesses, and the general public to adopt behaviors that preserve and protect our streams.  Janet also is on the steering committee for Puget Sound stormwater outreach and helped to develop the brand Puget Sound Starts Here.
